Türkiye passport photo size and requirements
Turkish passports use a printed biometric photo of 50 × 60 mm, taken within the last 6 months, on a plain white background. NVİ passport instructions specify a face height of 32–36 mm, a centred face and open, level eyes. A 35 × 45 mm crop is not a substitute for this format.

Frequently asked questions
What size is a Turkish passport photo?
50 × 60 mm, with a face height of 32–36 mm. At 300 DPI that is 591 × 709 pixels. Do not use a 35 × 45 mm photo instead.
Can I make my Turkish passport photo from a phone selfie?
You can upload a clear phone selfie to VisaPhoto, taken face-on in even light without filters. VisaPhoto creates a portrait on a plain white background and sizes it to 50 × 60 mm for printing; check with the office handling your application before using it.
What background colour is required?
Plain white, with no shadows or pattern.
Can I wear glasses in a Turkish passport photo?
Tinted glasses and glare are not suitable. Removing glasses is the safer choice; if you need them, make sure your eyes are fully visible.
Can I use a VisaPhoto portrait for a Turkish passport?
VisaPhoto creates an AI-assisted portrait sized to 50 × 60 mm and checks framing and image quality. It does not certify the 32–36 mm face height and cannot promise acceptance, so compare the print with the NVİ rules before you apply.
